Job Description
Here at Pertemps Network Catering, we are currently recruiting for a care home Cook to work for a busy care home on a basis with our clients in Sheldon.
Monday- Friday 8am-2pm (Will be asked to work Some Weekends)
Enhanced DBS needed
The role will involve working as part of the catering as a care home Cook, you will play a crucial role in providing well-balanced and appetizing meals to our students, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.
Cook Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students, following menu guidelines and dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
- Order and manage food supplies to ensure availability of fresh and high-quality ingredients.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Adapt menus to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize waste.
- Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any issues for repair.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records and budget control.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
