Due to business growth and development, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a short term 6-month contract (possible long term dependant on business requirement) with an immediate start, as part of a well-established and growing business based in Redditch.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and able to assist in day-to-day activities focussed You will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Team with various tasks.
As part of the role, you'll be expected to carry out:
- Processing of Purchase Invoices (via SAGE)
- Verifying invoices for accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Monitoring accounts for overdue payments and following up with customers.
- Acceptance of goods delivered onto system to enable invoice authorisation.
- Processing of Sales Invoices (via business CRM System/SAGE)
- Monitor and Maintain Client Portals
- Liasing with Clients and Suppliers resolving any invoice queries.
- Answering of telephone calls to assist team as needed.
- General administration support when required.
The successful Accounts Assistant will have the following skills and experience:
- Good IT skills, ideally with good understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- SAGE 50 Accounts
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Good communication skills
- Able to work under pressure within a friendly, supportive office team.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Able to effectively prioritise workload.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Most importantly the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
