Job Description

Opportunity is around the corner at Pertemps in Lincoln! We have a brand-new position available for a hardworking and experienced Welder to join an already successful team. Our client is based in Lincoln and supply parts globally.  
 
As a Fabricator you will be required to:
  • Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques such as MIG and stick welding according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Prepare welding surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and degreasing to ensure proper adhesion and quality of welds.
  • Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding tools, gas, and wire, and adjusting settings for optimal welding performance.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety standards.
  • Document work performed, including recording welding parameters, materials used, and any issues encountered during fabrication.
  • Adhere to established deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet project schedules and production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Salary:
  • £28,000 + per annum (DOE)
 
Hours:
Monday to Friday working 3 shifts on a rotational basis.
  • 7AM to 3PM
  • 3PM 11PM
  • 11PM to 7AM
 
Desirable skills
  • Background and experience in welding or fabrication
  • MIG / TIG Welding experience
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety
  • Can work to deadlines.
