Job Title: Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer

Location:
Wrexham

Salary: £51,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Continental shifts (12.25 hours, rotating days & nights – 05:45 to 18:00), 4 on / 4 off

Key Responsibilities 
As a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production operations. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintaining a safe working environment for employees and visitors

  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to optimise equipment performance

  • Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption

  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment

  • Working collaboratively with production, technical, and engineering teams

  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and managing expectations effectively

  • Ensuring audit readiness and compliance with relevant standards

  • Working closely with project engineering teams on site improvements and upgrades

  • Actively participating in ongoing training and development


 
Skills & Experience Required 
Essential 

  • Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment

  • Electrically or mechanically qualified (or time-served) with multi-skilled capability

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and personal development

  • Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environments

  • Familiarity with modern production machinery and automated systems
