Production Lead

Pertemps Exeter are hiring for a Production Lead Role:

Hours: Monday to Friday (8.00 am - 5.00 pm)

40 hours / week

25 + 8 bank holidays per year

Salary between £26K and £27K+ (depending upon experience)

Start Date: 01/05/24



The production lead role would be responsible for a team of 8; with a purpose to drive and lead the team in optimising all processes and procedures to provide structure and to deliver a first-class experience across all products and channels.



Day to day your role would include planning and leading daily production activities to ensure all KPIs are met:



Plan production builds.
Prioritizing of builds
Raising of build plans
Picking of stock required
Delegating the builds to the production team
Ensuring completed build plans are complete on the ERP system and end storage
Ensuring the required level of finished stock is available on the shelf.
Attend/chair production meetings with the production team.
Assist on the production line where required.
Ensure any business-related objectives are communicated with the production team.
Ensure that staff are always motivated through direction, coaching, and encouragement and assist in the management of a harmonious environment.
To set controls and monitor performance of the production team, acting upon any issues where necessary.
To ensure that all employees go about their jobs with a sense of urgency and the required level of professionalism, and to carry out disciplinary action where necessary with assistance from HR.

Required skills and qualifications

Proven work experience within Production/Manufacturing industry.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong team leader.
Solid level of Education.
Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Package.
Knowledge and experience in 5S and continuous improvement
