Title: Vehicle Technician / Fitter

Salary: Approx 30k
Hours: 07:00 - 16.30 (M-T) / 07:00 - 12.30 (F)

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician / Fitter, this role requires initiative and a commitment to delivering work to exceptionally high standards. The position involves precise adherence to customer specifications within specified timeframes, often including work at elevated levels and beneath vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

"Proficiency with a variety of tools, including air-operated and hand tools, electrically operated hand tools, electric welders, and gas/mechanical cutters.
"The ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately and fabricate assemblies accordingly, with a general aptitude for fitting components.
"Experience in installing PTO's, gearboxes, drive lines, pumps, hydraulic lines, and fittings.
"Expertise in working on vehicle chassis and associated equipment.
"Willingness to occasionally work away from the main base and take responsibility for quality control of their own work.

Previous experience with fire vehicles would be advantageous.
