Job Description

We have a challenging and rewarding position for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to be responsible for annual planning, forecasting, reporting and analytics for the Group FP&A function, providing partnering for the wider FP&A team while providing key analysis and insights to enable decision making and strategic analysis. This role will help drive forward the development of forecasting and analysis across the group ensuring best practice processes are implemented to deliver improved insight and accountability.

What you will be doing as Senior Financial Planning Analyst
  • Engaging with Business units FP&A, acting on ad-hoc projects with visibility to senior Finance leadership.
  • Implementing analytical standards for planning & reporting, and modelling KPIs and cost drivers to enhance understanding of the business is key to this role.
  •  Drive forward the development of forecasting and analysis across the group embedding accountability, understanding and buy in across the leadership population.
  • Delivery of high-quality reporting, analysis, and commentary on performance to assist decision making and forecasting
  • Regularly influencing and presenting to senior finance management, key findings from financial analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement with the finance team. Including (but not limited to) automation, efficiency, standardisation. Also support any wider plans to upgrade or change financial systems
What you should bring to the role?
  • A Qualified ACCA/ACA or CIMA with extensive experience in a FP&A function with a proven track record in 'adding value'
  • Proven system experience with SAP and HFM preferable
  • Solid experience in financial planning, including scenario planning, cost drivers development and analysis. Experience in co-ordinating rolling forecasts consolidation and risks/opportunities processes
  • Inquisitive mindset to provide review and challenge of forecasts submissions
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise own work and effectively deal with ad-hoc tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical, Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong attention to detail whilst being able to see broader picture
  • Solid communications experience – prepare concise presentations and support drafting of papers that will be sent to Group Executive level.
  • Proactive and ambitious - sets high goals for self and continuously strives to improve
