Senior Management Accountant- hybrid

Sheridan Maine are pleased to be partnering with a leading organisation based in the heart of Basingstoke, who are actively recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant position.
 
The role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts, budgeting and balance sheet reviews.
 
Key duties of the Group Accountant include:

• Liaise with auditors and assist with queries.
• Review all monthly accounting transactions such as journals, accrual and prepayments.
• Distribute the monthly management accounts pack to senior management.
• Review balance sheet and investigate anomalies.
• Produce P&L reports and provide commentary and analysis.
• Undertake detailed financial analysis.
• Assist the FC with budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide cashflow reports.
• Assist the team with day to day support and guidance.
• Provide business partnering support to stakeholders.

The role would suit an individual who is either qualified or part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, or alternatively, has 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in management accounts. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to mentor and direct others within the team when required. A high level of proficiency in Excel is necessary, along with a keen eye for detail. The company is looking for a proactive and dynamic individual who can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
