Aircraft Interiors Painter

This is an exciting opportunity for an aircraft interior painter to carry our repairs and touch ups on the following A/C types
A330-300/b787-900/A350-1000 to join an expanding team at Heathrow Airport.

The hours of work are 4 on 4 off.
17 days annual leave plus 8 days UK Bank Holidays

Suitable Candidates will have experience in;

Preparing for painting the interior of the aircraft by masking, stripping, washing aircraft sections and components.

Blending and mixing paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency.

Accurately detailing and making touch-ups. Assuring each step meets prescribed specifications and quality standards.

Competently in completing form 1/ Part145 paper-work, and you will ensure proper use of all personal protective clothing and equipment as required and provided.

Polishing and buffing for final finishes using proper abrasives.

Removing pull tapes and masking tape material after paint preparation stage is completed.

Inspecting aircraft for any defects, discoloration, spots, and touch ups as needed.

Maintaining your equipment between jobs and ensuring they are ready for the next task. They make repairs to old paint jobs using colour-matching software and appropriate touch-up paints and finishes

Adhering to all EASA regulations, company procedures, airport regulations, including Health & Safety

Applying coating filling compounds per aircraft specification and clearing any spots and defects.

Applying touch up if required and inspecting base colour coat before applying metallic clear colour application prepares and applies topcoat application with little or no direction,


Ideal Qualifications required are as follows;

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years related experience in aircraft paint.
• SSPC Certification strongly preferred.
• Advanced paint mixing knowledge and abilities to colour blend and colour match existing finishes during spot paint repair inspection
• Current Human Factors, EWIS and FTS papers desirable
