SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH & ASC Specialist)

Are you looking to pursue a full time and Permanent role within SEN Education? Do you have experience within Special Needs as well as a natural interest working alongside pupils with various Social Emotional & Mental Health requirements or Complex Neurological Needs & Autism?

Pertemps represent a brand-new Independant SEN School for children with Autism & Behaviour Difficulties, based near Attleborough. This place of learning is for the provision of Education for mixed genders between the ages of 11 and 16.

In addition to this, the school suppports the practice of Nurture, Behaviour Therapy, and Cognitive Intervention. So those with a natural proclivity for psychology, understanding how the mind works and how to overcome difficulties, this could be an ideal role for you, with an enormous sense of fulfilment.

The role itself will be to support these young learners either on an individual or group level, working as a team alongside the classroom teacher and other Education Professionals to faciliate the most positive outcome for the range of young pupils you interact with.

Pertemps Ideal Candidate would:
- Have a confidence and 'thick skin' dealing with teenage challenging behaviour
- Be inspired to help those with trauma, distorted family dynamics, and mental learning difficulties overcome their fears and inhibitions.
- Have at least grade C in English & Mathematics GCSE (OR equivalent)
- Available to visit the school informally, meet the Head Teacher, discuss the role in an open and mindful way. 
- Be available to start in January or Febuary 2024
- Be looking to earn above the generic rate of pay for the work you do, we offer a rate 15% above the industry standard as a Teaching Assistant within SEN
- Have 2 years worth of references readily available, and ideally an Up to Date DBS Certificate (non essential).
