The Role:
This welcoming Wolverhampton primary school is looking for a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 6 throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide targeted support to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and across the wider classroom.
You will help pupils remain engaged in lessons, develop confidence in core subjects and prepare effectively for SATs and their move to secondary school. This role offers valuable experience for a graduate looking to develop a long-term career in primary education.
The Candidate:

Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in a creative subject
- Strong communication skills and a positive, supportive approach
- Ability to work effectively with Year 6 pupils in 1:1, group and whole-class settings
- A genuine interest in progressing into primary teaching or teacher training
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
