Legal Cashier

LEGAL CASHIER £23,000 - £27,000 - EDGBASTON - PERMANENT

I am actively recruiting for an experienced legal cashier to join a leading law firm in Edgbaston.

This busy and successful finance team require someone with some familiarity with legal billing processes and have knowledge of SRA Account Rules.

Day to day duties include
• Processing of Billing
• Dealing with all day-to-day ledger postings to Client and Office accounts
• BACS/CHAPS payments
• Bank Account reconciliation
• Checking Bills and Completion Statements
• Credit Control
• Purchase Ledgers
• Inputting HMLR and Card Payments
• Dealing with Dormant Balances
• Supporting the accounts team with general administration of accounts
• Working with fee earners to ensure matter balances are kept accurate and up to date

Good working knowledge of annual audit and inspection processes along with an understanding of basic banking processes is also highly desired.
