Senior Social Worker (Maternity Cover)

Nurture Fostering is seeking an experienced Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our well-established, family-owned Independent Fostering Agency in Lewisham. Rated Good by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on being a small, supportive service where social workers are truly valued.
This is a full-time maternity cover opportunity, ideal for a confident and motivated social worker looking to take the next step in their career within a friendly and collaborative team.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise and support three social workers
• Hold a small caseload of 3–5 foster carers
• Take a lead role in investigations and referrals (with training and support provided)
• Support and mentor Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs)
• Contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality fostering practice

About You

• Qualified Social Worker
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience in fostering and/or Local Authority children’s social work
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience
• A full driving licence is desirable
