Customer Service Administrator
Shiremoor or Sunderland
Temporary Opportunity

Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of Northern Powergrid for a Customer Service Administrator to join their team in either Shiremoor or Sunderland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to join a busy team supporting the business and its internal and external customers.

We’re looking for someone with strong administration and IT skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering great customer service. You’ll be working across a varied range of administrative tasks, supporting colleagues and helping to ensure processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing purchase orders and service provider payments
    • Using in-house systems and applications, alongside Microsoft Office products
    • Maintaining databases and ensuring accurate record keeping
    • Liaising with internal colleagues, contractors, local authorities and customers
    • Producing documentation and work instructions
    • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and introduce new ways of working
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships across teams
    • Providing effective administrative support to help deliver a high level of service to colleagues and customers

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, or NVQ Level 2
    • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
    • Previous administration or customer service experience would be advantageous
Desirable Experience
  • An understanding of the electricity power distribution network
    • Experience using Oracle systems would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be provided
