Mock trial puts road safety in the dock

Posted around 8 months ago •

Lawyers, drivers and safety experts came together to stage a mock trial to shine a spotlight on the potential fallout from poor driving decisions and fleet management practices.

South-west-based PDT Fleet Training Solutions, in collaboration with LMP Legal, delivered the groundbreaking Driving the Verdict event at Bristol City Hall.

Fleet safety and legal accountability were in the dock at the courtroom simulation, where nearly 100 delegates in fleet management roles witnessed how a road incident can escalate into a complex legal case, revealing the critical importance of proactive training compliance and driver risk management.

Samantha Leleu, Director at PDT Fleet Training Solutions and Pertemps Southwest, said: “My feet honestly haven’t touched the ground since our mock trial delivered its verdict!

“But now that I’ve had a moment to catch my breath, I just feel so proud – proud of what we created, proud of what we shared and proud of the impact it’s had on our clients, both long-standing and hopefully some new.”

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is part of the Pertemps Network Group, which has an office in Harbourside, Bristol.
