Pertemps Network Group has been named as one of the top employers of veterans in the UK.

The Meriden-based recruitment specialist was placed ninth in the Top GREAT British Employers of Veterans book, launched in London yesterday (June 27) at the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards.

It was the top placed recruitment business and follows on from its inclusion in the un-ranked top 100 employers of veterans book published in 2023.

The business has a dedicated Armed Forces Liaison Team which, last year, helped place more than 100 service leavers into roles outside of the forces, with a further 100 currently being helped in finding new careers.

Kent Thompson, Managing Director at Pertemps Network Group who oversees the armed forces work, said: “For many years, we have worked very hard to match ex-military personal with roles which make the best use of their skills when they come out of service.

“We are incredibly proud to have been included in this list again. It is a vindication of what we do and really puts us in the spotlight for even more candidates transitioning to civilian roles from the armed forces.”

Pertemps originally signed the Armed Forces Covenant in June 2014 and formed its own HM Forces Liaison Team in April 2015. The dedicated MoD team caters for service leavers, veterans, reservists, spouses, dependants, cadets and the wounded, Injured and sick. In 2016 Pertemps was awarded the MoD’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award by HRH Prince William. This was revalidated in 2021.
