Job Title: Senior Climate Change Officer (Electrical)
Location: Dunoon
Pay Rate: 30k-38k DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Temporary- 6 months initially

Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate delivery of statutory inspection, capital, and electrical/climate-related programmes to ensure compliance and best value.
- Act as Contract Administrator/Principal Designer, managing projects from procurement through to completion, including documentation and stakeholder liaison.
- Deliver high-quality electrical and energy-related services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and fit-for-purpose public buildings.
- Manage and monitor project progress, including site inspections, surveys, reporting, and coordination with internal/external stakeholders.
- Lead electrical design and technical delivery, including specifications, drawings, compliance with standards, and certification processes.
- Ensure statutory and legislative compliance, maintaining up-to-date asset data, maintenance programmes, and health & safety standards.
- Support energy and carbon management initiatives, including use of systems, renewable technologies, and identifying funding opportunities.
- Manage budgets and project costs, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and delivery of projects within allocated budgets.
- Implement and maintain quality standards, including inspections, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and performance reporting.
- Provide leadership and team management, ensuring staff development, resource planning, and alignment with organisational objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards and design/certification
- Delivering capital and maintenance projects, including procurement and contract administration
- Ensuring adherence to electrical legislation, CDM regulations, and statutory duties
- Overseeing statutory inspections, fault finding, and PPM programmes
- Managing costs, forecasting, and ensuring best value delivery
- Supporting carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and utilities management initiatives
- Applying logical thinking to deliver safe and effective technical solutions
- Working with clients, consultants, and teams to achieve project outcomes
- Ability to travel efficiently to multiple sites to meet service delivery needs
- PVG required
