🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated, language-rich lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
- Work collaboratively with Speech and Language Therapists, Teaching Assistants, and SENCO
- Implement strategies such as visual supports, Makaton, communication boards, and structured language interventions
- Support pupils’ social communication, literacy development, and emotional regulation
- Track progress against EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement and success
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SLCN, Autism, or complex SEN in a school or specialist setting
- Strong understanding of communication-friendly teaching approaches
- Ability to adapt curriculum content to meet language and processing needs
