π About the Role
A welcoming and well-resourced Primary SEN School in Brixton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Aspiring Clinical Psychologist to join their specialist support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate or experienced SEN practitioner looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting children with complex additional needs.
The school supports pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop emotional regulation skills, and build positive relationships.
π§ Key Responsibilities
β Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support tailored to individual EHCP targets
β Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and social communication
β Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and engaging learning activities
β Help implement therapeutic and sensory approaches within the classroom
β Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
β Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
π Ideal Candidate
β A Psychology graduate or aspiring Clinical / Educational Psychologist
β Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs
β Calm, resilient, and nurturing personality
β Strong teamwork and communication skills
β Genuine passion for mental health, child development, and inclusive education
β Commitment to a long-term role
