The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Provide PPA cover across the Autism Base and specialist provision
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions tailored to individual pupil needs
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff, therapists, and teaching assistants
- Adapt learning activities using visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured routines
- Build positive relationships with pupils and promote engagement in learning
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience working with children with autism and additional needs
- Understands strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, and sensory regulation approaches
- Is patient, adaptable, and confident working across different age groups
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is passionate about inclusive education and making a positive impact
