A supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated PPA / Intervention Teacher to work within their specialist Autism Base. This rewarding role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and delivering targeted interventions that help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide PPA cover across the Autism Base and specialist provision
    • Deliver targeted intervention sessions tailored to individual pupil needs
    • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
    • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN staff, therapists, and teaching assistants
    • Adapt learning activities using visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured routines
    • Build positive relationships with pupils and promote engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Has experience working with children with autism and additional needs
    • Understands strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, and sensory regulation approaches
    • Is patient, adaptable, and confident working across different age groups
    • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    • Is passionate about inclusive education and making a positive impact
