West London – Office Based
3–6 Month Ongoing Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Manager to join a busy Local Authority team in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong operational leader to drive service performance, lead a high-performing team, and deliver an excellent neighbourhood housing service.

The Role As Housing Manager, you will lead and manage a team of Housing Officers and Housing Assistants to deliver a value-for-money, customer-focused neighbourhood service. You will play a key role in improving resident satisfaction, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and contributing to safe and sustainable communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team delivering frontline housing management services
    • Drive performance across tenancy management, ASB, arrears prevention, and estate management
    • Provide clear operational direction and ensure service standards are consistently met
    • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and implement service improvements
    • Build effective partnerships with internal departments and external stakeholders
    • Ensure compliance with housing legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements
    • Handle complex casework, complaints, and member enquiries where required
    • Promote a culture focused on customer care, accountability, and continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience managing a housing management team within a Local Authority or Registered Provider
    • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation, and best practice
    • Experience improving service delivery and driving team performance
    • Ability to manage complex resident issues and high-level complaints
    • Confident stakeholder engagement and partnership working skills
    • Strong organisational and communication skills
